There is an awful lot of racism in the Organisation from top to bottom. I have personally experienced it for years, especially when I first came into the 'Truth' when young. I spent half a decade in my very first congregation and was never invited out or to dinner by anyone in that entire time. In winter and in awful heavy rains I would walk the 4 miles to my local hall not realising why brothers who lived right by me would just drive past me in empty cars waving and smiling but never offering me a lift to or from the meetings.
I was alone in there.. no family.. but I was in good standing. I had just got baptised.. I was regular pioneering, training myself to become a missionary.. I was doing everything possible that a young brother could do in an exemplary fashion, yet somehow I was never good enough. I realise now that this was simply a colour issue. Pure racism. It was really quite horrible. I have never experienced so much coldness and lack of genuine love in my life. it was quite heartbreaking that the people I would happily have laid down my life for would themselves not even offer me a sandwhich or a lift. I have to say that is what massively contributed to me leaving. The claim that they have love among themselves is very true.. except it's that they keep it all only to themsleves.
This kind of thing used to trouble me greatly when I was young but no longer now know they are not really a special people but are just the same as everyone else on this planet with all the same faults.
I hear recently that a special D.O had to be sent to that district due to racism problems yet again. Years later the white members are having serious issues when it comes to taking guidance and counsel from dark skinned elders. It's a still a major and I think ignored probelm among these people..

Are the GB Mental
by moley injust a thought, do the gb actually beleive they are gods chosen reps and truly beleive this crap or are they just in it for the power and the authority.

In my 30+ years in I never really believed in any GB.. None of it ever made any sense to me, I just went along with what I thought and believed was coming from the Bible. As soon as my research showed this not to be true it was a very easy matter to just step away from it all entirely.

I'm on the Stage Const. Crew - Here at the Arena right now!!!
by tresdecu inafter lunch i will be the guy nail gunning the plywood letters to the top part of the stage.
so when i get to the word truth, i am going to mutter "bullshit, bullshit, bullshit....etc" the whole time i'm nailing the letters, obviously very quietly to myself.
;-) that way when i am listening to the bs tomorrow, i can smile to myself knowing the letters have been properly christened!

How are you even able to take an entire day in that atmosphere when in your heart you no longer belive that they have the truth? I perosnally don't think I could even enter a hall any more.. let alone a convention..
How do you get by?

It must really quite hurt to be hit by the realisation that these people that are meant to be your brothers and sisters really do not care about you in the slightest and will just drop and right you off at the drop of a bit of gossip.
It's quite disgusting and very hurtful.. bit something almost everyone in here has been through or are going through. losing one or two people in ones life can be pretty tough but when it's and entire herd of them it's a seriously horrible and agonising experience no matter how many may say: 'just forget them they are not worth it.'
It still hurts quite terribly. Instead of directing our anger and pain on them we always invariably turn it upon ourselves and direct this negativity right into our own hearts. Their entire system of love is actually a pre -shunning weapon set up and designed cause the maximum damage and agony.
It's the most cruel thing a so called Christina can ever do to another. Killing us would be less painful. you have my sympathy SoConfused you really do.. I have been through this already twice in my life and am in the middle of a 3rd wave. Fortunately I have no family in the Org and I consciously distanced and insulated myself from these fake and false friends as an insurance measure in preparation to limit their power over me psychologically and emotionally for what I know is coming up.
It's horrible though how people that call themselves loving and Godly can ever dream to behave like this and call it right. it's disgusting. Be strong..

"In rare instances, one Christian might commit a serious crime against another—such as rape, assault, murder, or major theft. In such cases, it would not be unchristian to report the matter to the authorities, even though doing so might result in a court case or a criminal trial.
For further information, please see The Watchtower, March 15, 1997, pages 17-22, and October 15, 1991, pages 25-8."
RARE!!! It's in fact becomming increasingly common and very much more then they care to admit. Like serpents they use that slippery ambigous Watchtower speak "it would not be unchristian to report the matter to the authorities".. why not just say: "it would be our Christian duty to report all such thngs to the authorities.."
Whatever happened to Romans 13:4 New International Version (©2011)
"For the one in authority is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God's servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer."
It's why God has them in place.. yet the Wtachtower seems to think otherwise.

From The Guardian:
The death-defying sentence of 124 years with which Hector Monsegur, the US leader of the LulzSec hacking group, has been threatened is not unprecedented: the disgraced New York financier Bernie Madoff is two years into a 150-year prison term.
American judges, traditionally tougher than their UK benchmates, view loss of liberty as a punitive measure rather than an opportunity for rehabilitation. Those convicted of multiple offences are more likely to receive consecutive rather than concurrent terms. Mocking the guilty's limited lifespan may be the precise purpose of judicial overkill. Judge Denny Chin, who ordered that Madoff be incarcerated until the 22nd century, explained later that his intention had been to send a symbolic message. The financier's conduct had been "so egregious", Chin said, and therefore he should do everything he "possibly could to punish him".
One US state's enthusiasm for consecutive sentences is currently being challenged in court. A Vermont sex offender is arguing that prosecutors exploit the prospect of lengthy sentences to scare defendants into pleading guilty.
Fixed "determinate" sentences and the "three strikes and out" rule operated in California have significantly extended the average length of US prison terms.Impossibly elongated prison terms certainly grab the headlines. Sholam Weiss was given 845 years for fraud and money-laundering by a Florida court in 2000.Jeffrey Dahmer, the Wisconsin cannibal, was handed 957 years for killing 17 people. Like many others, he didn't live long enough to serve his full term: he was beaten to death by another inmate two-and-a-half years into what was supposed to have been nearly a millennium behind bars.

It's very difficult to even be in that atmosphere now.. there is nothing for the intellect, nothing for the heart.. and nothing for the spirit. Even the association feels like an empty charade acted out to numbing levels. The people in there are really in trouble, and many of them I think know it. It's really quite sad..
